Seeing, Hearing, Knowing
Experiment with Light is a movement within the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers) that aims at putting our lives under the guidance of the Light. It began in Britain in 1996 when Rex Ambler devised a guided meditation based on early Friends’ writings that takes us step by step through a process of self-discovery, helping us to see ourselves in a new way, hear the insights which the Spirit can give us, and know what steps to take in order to act effectively and find peace of mind.
Since then different forms of this practice have been developed by various people, and there have been approximately a hundred Light Groups that use one or more of these, with participants then sharing their experiences with one another.
