Sally Wister's Journal : A True Narrative
Sally Wister's Journal: A True Narrative- Being a Quaker Maiden's Account of Her Experiences With Officers of the Continental Army, 1777-1778 is the diary of a teenage girl during the Revolutionary War. This is a first-person account of a 16-year-old Quaker girl living in Germantown, Pennsylvania during the Revolutionary War. American officers were quartered at her house, and her journal provides a wonderful mix of both the goings-on and close battles to her house, as well as the thoughts of a 16-year-old girl on the cusp of adulthood.
