Robert Valentine 1717-1786
Born in Ireland in 1717, to a family that soon settled in Chester County Pennsylvania, rural storekeeper became an eminent public Friend among Philadelphia Quakers. He once wrote "Friends should not slubber and daub things over in a deceitful manner but should stand plumb for the truth".
