Faith & Play: Four New Stories (e-book)
Four new stories about Quaker witness in the world and some of the ways Friends imagine or know God’s image or presence:
- Margaret Fell of Swarthmoor Hall
- Elizabeth Fry and the Women of Newgate Prison
- John Woolman, Gentle Abolitionist
- Images of God
These Quaker stories are for Friends trained in the Godly Play® Method
This download comes in all popular e-reader versions, including Kindle and PDF.
The Faith & Play™ Group is delighted to share with our community of storytellers and
religious educators these four new stories. Each one has been on a journey that included
edits and rewrites, consultation with other Friends, development of materials, and perhaps most importantly, testing with children in First Day program circles and feedback from those experiences.
Three are stories about historic Quaker witness, “someone who listened to the still, small voice within and discovered what God wanted them to do.” We hope they will inspire wondering about how we each witness in the world today. Images of God is a story about some of the ways Friends imagine or know God’s image or presence, and we think will be a great companion to Listening for God.
This e-book is available in all popular e-book formats and as a PDF.
