Augustus and his Smile
Spiritual writer Edward Hays has observed: "A smile is a facial message of friendliness, delight, satisfaction, and amusement." It is a prominently evident part of the devotional repertoire of saints and bodhisattvas, the half-smile on the faces of many statues of the Buddha. Smiles convey a sense of inner peace and joy. Stunning illustrations celebrate the beauty of the world and the simple happiness it brings us when we open our eyes to it. Ages 4-7.
